Green Park Energy
The project was to install a new private network that connected gas turbines utilising the gas in nearby redundant mine workings. The turbines produced electricity through the installed network and new constructed substation. This now produced enough electricity to power the local area community.
On this project the client requested that due to the sensitive nature of the area, they required the works to be completed with the minimal disruption to the local residents and surrounding neighbourhood. The scheme was divided into two parts, local authority roads and private land ownership. Upon completion of the street works construction we entered onto private stakeholders land, following negotiations with these stakeholders it was decided that due to the outbreak of foot and mouth in various parts of the country, wash down stations would be installed as a precaution at every access and egress point to each field to prevent cross contamination during the construction programme.
